Hello and welcome to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's CASE the designer Challenge #GDP332 . This week we are CASEing my friend, the amazing and very talented Kim Fee. It took me a while to think of how to CASE her, but I finally decided to start with the yellow colours from her card.
I ended up using multiple pieces from Kim's original card as my inspiration for my card. I used the Blessings of Home stamp, similar colours with the yellow and greens and a touch of orange, the paper lattice which I used a stencil and as a layer for the sentiment, and also the embossed circle which reflected the embossed layer on Kim's card.
Instructions:
- Use Basic White A4 card cut in half lengthwise and folded for the card base. Use another piece of Basic White and apply So Saffron ink through a piece of Paper Lattice using it as a stencil.
- Stamp multiple flowers with the smaller floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set using Smoky Slate onto Basic White card. Fussy cut the images to only use the main floral image. Colour the images with Stampin' Blends (Magenta Madness, So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green).
- Emboss a piece of Vellum using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, punch or die cut into a circle shape and adhere to the card. Overlay the various floral images around the circle.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set using Smoky Slate ink onto the Basic White card. Layer onto a piece of So Saffron card and then onto a piece of the Paper Lattice. Adhere light yellow Matte Decorative Dots (retired).
