Thinking of you - Inspired Thoughts & Brilliant Rainbow Dies - TGIFC344

Hello again and welcome back to my blog! I have a card for TGIF Challenges Product Challenge #TGIFC344 this week. This week's challenge is to use Soft Pastels. To be honest, I was so excited when I saw these in the Annual Catalogue, however this is the first time I pulled them out. 

For this simple card I used the Soft Pastels in two different ways. Firstly I mixed them with water and used a Water Painter to spread them like watercolour paint across a piece of watercolour paper. I also scraped off some Soft Pastel and used a blending brush to apply the colour to created the clouds. I also used the Inspired Thoughts stamp set, Brilliant Rainbow Dies and Basic Borders Dies.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and fold. Use the Basic Borders Dies to cut a "cloud border" from Basic White card. Using your Take Your Pick tool, scrape off some Night of Navy Soft Pastel and use a Blending Brush to apply this colour to a piece of Basic White card moving the "cloud border" along the card. Adhere this piece to the card base.

- Use multiple colours of the Soft Pastels and one by one scrape off each colour and use a Water Painter to apply the like a watercolour to a piece of Watercolour card. Use the Brilliant Rainbow Dies to die cut a rainbow and attach to the card. Use the cloud dies to cut clouds from Vellum and adhere to the card.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set onto a piece of Basic White card with Tuxedo Black ink. Mat this piece with a piece of Basic Black card and attach to the card. Add some raindrop shaped Clear Epoxy Essentials.
