Hello and welcome back to my blog.
Today's card is a simple card but uses my favourite bundle from the new Stampin' Up!® 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. It seems like an unlikely bundle to be a favourite but I collect turtle and tortoise figurines and have quite a large collection of them... you can imagine how happy I was when I saw this bundle.
This week Stampin' Through the Catalogue is highlighting the Turtle Friends stamp set. For this card, I used all of the 2021-2023 new In Colours in combination with the Turtle Friends Bundle and the Bark Embossing Folder.
Instructions:
- Use a piece of Basic White card A4 cut in half lengthwise and folded. Use a piece of Pale Papaya card embossed with the Bark Embossing Folder and attach to the card base using Liquid Glue.
- Stamp the turtles and bird from the Turtle Friends stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White card. Stamp the shells onto the turtles using Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen ink. Use the Turtle Punch to punch out the large turtle and fussy cut both the small turtle and bird. Colour the images with Stampin' Blends. Use the colour lifter to give the turtle skin more dimension by adding dots of lifter.
- Use a Stamparatus to stamp the 'Hello' and 'Friend' from the Biggest Wish stamp set using Fresh Freesia and Polished Pink ink onto Basic White card. Use the Stamparturs to place the sentiments in between the placement of the images.
- Adhere the animal images down using Stampin; Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels to the card.
- Attach the Basic white card with the images and sentiment on it onto a piece of slightly larger Evening Evergreen and then adhere to the Pale Papaya card using Stampin' Dimensionals
