Congratulations - Hand-Penned Petals Bundle & Ink Blending

Hello! So there are so many fun challenges to enter this week, so I am posting a bit more than usual. I created this card as I love ink blending and how the blending lends itself to the ombré look.  I entered this card into two challenges this week. Firstly the TGIF Challenge Blog - #TGIFC314 - Designer Take Over - Oh So Ombré challenge and also the The Spot Creative Challenge - Spot Challenge 159 - Ink Blending challenge.  

This card was quite simple to create. I used the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and Penned Flowers Dies (Hand-Penned Petals Bundle) from Stampin' Up!®, and overlaid the die cuts onto an ink blended background.

Instructions:

- Use a smaller piece of Shimmery White card and blend Polished Pink, Mango Melody and So Saffron onto it using Blending Brushes. Once satisfied with the blending, spray some water onto the card using a Stampin' Spritzer and dab off with a paper towel. Flick some Wink of Stella onto the blended card as well to add more interest.

- Die cut some flowers from Basic Black card using the Penned Flowers Dies. Use a sponge dauber and apply some Liquid Glue on the back of the die cuts to adhere them to the blended card. Use Snips to cut off any overhanging edges. Attach the blended card to the Basic Black layer with Liquid Glue.

- Use a wet paper towel to dab the ink in the middle of the flowers to create a mottled effect on the petals.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set using Polished Pink onto Basic White. Mat this piece with Basic Black card and attach to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Add some Pearl Basic Jewels to the centre of the flowers and some Clear Epoxy Essentials to the card.

- Use a trimmed strip of the blended card and also another Basic Black flower die cut for the inside of the card.
