Hello and welcome to my blog post showcasing the Butterfly Bouquet collection.
My card for today is for Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Support Program Butterfly Bouquet Blog Hop April 2021. I am so happy that you could join my fellow demonstrators and I today for this blog hop, which I hope will provide you with many ideas and creative inspiration.
We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support!
You may be starting here or may have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.
The Butterfly Brilliance Bundle is now available in the Stampin' Up!® store and includes the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle (Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and Butterfly Wings Dies),and the Natural Touch Speciality Paper. Unfortunately the Butterfly Bijou 6"x 6" DSP is now sold out.
I created a 'Thank You' card for todays blog hop and I used the Brilliant Wings Dies. I also used the Here's A Card stamp set and the Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies.
See my Butterfly Bouquet posts HERE for more inspiration, and click to access the Information flyer and unboxing video that I created showcasing some of the products in this collection.
The coordinating Butterfly Brilliance stamp set which is part of the Butterfly Brilliance bundle, is an image only set so you can use any sentiment on the card. It is perfect to help use all those sentiments from your various stamp sets that you own.I used the Here's A Card stamp set which will be retiring soon, and it is a fantastic set to have in your sentiment collection.
Use a piece of Magenta Madness for the card base . Mat with a piece of Mango Melody cardstock (adhere with Liquid Glue). Create another layer using Misty Moonlight card and adhere that to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Place each layer at a slight angle.
Die cut the 'brushstrokes' using the Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies from a piece of spare card stock. Use this a 'stencil' for blending the inks through.
Use a piece of Shimmery White card. One by one, use the Blending Brushes and blend Magenta Madness, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay and Misty Moonlight inks through the card stock stencil. Be careful to cover all the other openings (with a post-it note or a scrap piece of paper) except for the one that you are blending ink through as you do this, to avoid the colours mixing together.
Use the Brilliant Wings dies to cut out the individual butterflies from the following card colours- So Saffron, Mango Melody, Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay and Misty Moonlight. Also use the same die to cut the shapes from Vellum.
Colour on the back of the Vellum butterflies with the same Stampin' Blends colours as the card stock. Colour only some parts of the Vellum butterflies to add some interest. Colour the front of the vellum butterflies with Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.
Use a small amount of Liquid Glue to attach the Vellum butterflies to the card stock butterflies. Adhere the butterflies with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the card. Add some 2020-2022 In Colour Enamel Dots and Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the butterflies to add an extra pop of colour.
Stamp the sentiment from the Here's A Card stamp set using Misty Moonlight ink onto Basic White cardstock. Cut the sentiment out, and mat it with a small piece of Misty Moonlight card. Attach the sentiment to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Use a piece of Basic White card on the inside of the card.
Measurements:
- Magenta Madness card base A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded
- Mango Melody layer: A4 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"/ 14.4 x 10 cm or Letter 4" x 5 1/4"
- Misty Moonlight layer: A4 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"/ 14.2 x 9.8 cm or Letter 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
- Shimmery White (outside card) / Basic White (inside card) layer: A4 5 1/4" x 3 1/2"/ 13.7 x 9.3 cm or Letter 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
This next photo shows a close up of the vellum colouring and also a little bit of the shimmer on them. It is always really hard to photograph all the shimmer and shine from Wink of Stella markers.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
