Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today's card is a simple one, but looks so much more complex after using the Floral Heart Dies from the Love You Always Suite. These gorgeous dies add so much dimension to a card with very little effort.
- Use a card front sized piece of Whisper White/Basic White card and use the border die from the Floral Heart Dies and die cut a border along both long edges of the Basic White card. Save the small hearts that come out from the die cut piece for later.
- Splatter some So Saffron ink onto this piece of die cut card using a brush or water painter.
- Adhere this card to the So Saffron base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Use another piece of Basic White card and die cut the large heart from the Floral Heart Dies.
- Use the Blending Brushes and start from the top of the heart and start blending Bumblebee ink over the top 1/3 of the heart. Blend So Saffron ink over the next 1/3 of the heart, and on the lower 1/3 fade the So Saffron ink out to the white of the card.
- Use the Blending Brushes and So Saffron ink and add some soft blending onto the splattered Basic White card approximately where the inside of the heart will be placed.
- Attach the floral heart to the card using mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Colour some of the previously die cut mini hearts using Stampin' Blends (So Saffron Light and Dark) as well as some of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
- Attach the mini hearts using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and place these and the Jewels across the card.
- As I did not want to cut up a new sheet of So Saffron for the sentiment, I used a piece of Whisper White card and coloured it with my So Saffron Stampin' Blends (light) to colour it approximately the same colour as the cardstock.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set onto Whisper White and back it with the coloured So Saffron card.
- Attach the sentiment to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Use a piece of Whisper White for the inside of the card and attach some of the remaining mini hearts to create a border along the base, attaching both using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
